Ben's WX Summary
- Updated: Friday @ 02:45am
Expect a nice finish to our week as above normal temperatures continue with dry weather for now. That will change late next week as we get into a more unsettled pattern. High pressure aloft will strengthen through this weekend, leading to warmer temperatures and gusty offshore winds below passes and canyons. Highs will once again reach the mid to upper 60s today under sunny skies, east to northeast winds 5-15 mph with gusts to 20 mph possible. Little change throughout the weekend as highs remain in the 60s while lows cool into the 30s. We'll hold temperatures above average through early next week, then begin a cool-down midweek as the onshore flow strengthens ahead of an approaching storm. A closed low-pressure system will deepen off the West Coast later Wednesday with clouds and winds on the increase. This low is forecast to roll inland across the region sometime Thursday or Friday, spreading rain and higher elevation snow across the area. This system may linger over the weekend with another storm possible early next week. While it's still too early for a lot of details, this low has a lot of remnant tropical moisture associated, so the snow level could run on the high side, at least initially. Will fine-tune the forecast in the coming days, stay tuned!
